My name is HABIMANA FABIEN, Am RWANDESE and also am a student of University of Rwanda College of Education Confucius Institute I studied Chinese language during more than three years.
Chinese language is language which have the biggest numbers of people in the world using Chinese language in way of communication. Knowing Chinese language will notonly enable you to make friends with Chinese people but also help us to find a good job, enjoy your trip and expand your business. University of Rwanda Confucius institute has many Chinese teachers are interesting to help us tostudy Chinese language.
I would like to tell you some interesting story about Chinese language and Confucius Institute at UR.
Me and Chinese
My journey of me and China was started on 23th September 2016, ZHANGNING LAOSHI (张宁) taught me Chinese language. In starting to study Chinese, I think is a language which difficult but in more to attend every teacher’s course more to understand how can I understand very well, one best way to study Chinese is to attend Chinese teacher’s course review every time with trying to study new vocabularies of Chinese language. I very grateful and special thanks to my Zhang Laoshi wherever you are now in China. In short, he taught me many way which can I you use to study Chinese language even if my university major is not language so he taught how to read very quickly, clearly and how to write Chinese character according rule of writing. He taught me how to be polite student in all domain of life and his character inspired me, how to do my task very well and to archive seriously and very clearly. Special thanks to my first 中文老师。

My second teacher called LAN TIANHUI（ 兰天慧）, She is beautiful Chinese girl and she is very intelligent second teacher who taught me Chinese language in RUKARA CAMPUS. We were small number of students in Rukara in 2018 but she encouragesus, especially me to insist on, don’t give up and to study hard Chinese in all possible time with to combine with my major. Special thanks to LAN LAOSHI, I will never forget her help to me.
Me and China
I and China’s story started on 16 august 2018 in Kigali international Airport kanombe at 14:00, with headmaster of University of Rwanda Confucius Institute for taking Ethiopian airways from Rwanda to Beijing city.
In this time we are all very happy especially me I were very happy because is the first time, to go anywhere with Airplane in my life. I experienced how to take airplane’s travel from Rwanda to China, it were very amazing because China country gave me a special trips from my country Rwanda to China without any cost so that am grateful China country. In general, now am feeling happy every day because chinais the best friends of my country Rwanda.
From Kigali international airport to Ethiopia international airport were using one hours and half, after from Ethiopia international airport to China (Beijing international airport) were using more than eleven hours. During this airplane journey in the sky, I have seen how sky is seems like. It’s very amazing to take more than twelve hours with airplane without any cost from pocket.
The CHINA-AFRICA SUMMER YOUTHS CAMP, this event had a significant and far-reaching bearing on promotion China-Africa relations. We were enjoyed friendly cooperation and exchanges and pushing forward the development of major cultural projects between China and African countries.
When we reached in China especially Beijing international airport we were welcomed by three kindness Chinese students, take us for going to Beijing Language and Culture University as cultural sites (BLCU).

This year 2020 am the firs time, participating Chinese bridge for Chinese teacher Dr. LIU JINDONG (刘金冬)，in starting time, I don’t know if I Can speak very well a Speech because am worry about it. Is the time in which I were tried my best for using LIU LAOSHI’s help, when there was not LIU LAOSHI I can not do anything in this competition. Am very appreciate LIU LAOSHI for her encouragement to me and all way of studying Chinese language in way of speaking well and listening very clearly. In short, every student when he listen carefully Teacher’s course in a way of studying in classroom, he/she can know very quickly how to speak and to listen Chinese language. Am very thank LIU LAOSHI for every advice give us everyday especially me as student. I will never forget your all help to me.
